Mieke Van de Capelle joined Firmenich in 2016 as CHRO, leading Sustainability, Communications and Human Resources globally, setting the strategy and winning culture for Firmenich  as the most responsible family company in the Fragrance and Flavor industry worldwide.  Under her leadership Firmenich obtained in 2018 the EDGE global certification for gender equality as one of only 7 companies in the world, and is at the forefront of preparing the shift in capabilities and employability of its 8000 colleagues to meet changing demands driven by digitalization.  A seasoned leader with 20+ years of experience in the FMCG and chemical industry, Mieke has lived across Europe, the US and Asia. A Belgian national, she holds a Masters Degree from Ghent University and from the University of Burgundy in Dijon, France.
