André is co-founder / CTO of Metadvice and generally leads the development of AI powered technologies. After formative years in thermonuclear fusion and an academic career in numerical analysis, he changed tack to work 8 years for a hedge fund in quantitative finance--eventually turning to neural networks to execute mean reversion arbitrage strategies. In 2018, he took a chance to broaden his professional experience and entered the realms of precision medicine. He holds an Associate Professor title in scientific computing from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH, Stockholm) and a PhD in plasma physics from EPFL.
