Confrey Alianji
Africa Region Innovation Enabler at WWFConfrey Alianji is an innovation expert and venture builder, currently serving as the Innovation Enabler for the Africa Region at WWF, In addition to initiating and leading the WWF-Kenya Innovation Program, "PandaLabs," he coordinates WWF's Finance Practice Startups and Ventures Workstreams, collaborating with startups in Asia and Africa. With over ten years of experience, he is a proficient business and strategy designer, addressing the innovation needs of impact organizations, African entrepreneurs, and businesses.
He is an Expert Reviewer for World Economic Forum's (WEF's) Climate Justice Challenge. Serves as the Innovation Council Member for CCSI an initiative of Baylor University and Compassion International. He co-founded the start-up UTAFITI, has worked as a design thinking consultant for Bluesky Innovations, and participated in the Unleash Innovation Lab in Denmark to work on groundbreaking solutions for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals where his team’s concept, Afterain, won second place in Health.
As part of his work he believes feeling connected to nature, being outside in nature, has a positive impact on people and he is driven to support connect and engage WWF Kenya in global work on innovation through designing and running innovative processes and to build a career on protecting the future of nature and people.
He has a passion for mentoring the creative talents of young people and has supported the Safaricom Blaze BYOB program as the Technology Mentor, Contributor at KamiLimu and Andela's professional development sessions, and Entrepreneurship trainer at the Young African Leadership Initiative
