David is a PhD student at ETH Zurich building AI and Data Systems for Sustainable Development. He is leading the machine learning for climate action research at DS3Lab ETH Zurich, mapping the ethical use of AI and directing the Kara research project in joint collaboration with Stanford and UC Berkeley. Previously, David was an engineer in Silicon Valley and a research fellow at Berkeley AI Research (BAIR), Stanford University and Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. 

David is a Global Shaper at the World Economic Forum, Climate Leader at Climate Reality and organised several large conferences in Germany, Silicon Valley, and at Harvard. David's work and research were featured in The New York Times, MIT Technology Review, WIRED, United Nations, and the World Bank and won grants from NVIDIA, Microsoft and Mercedes-Benz.
