Erik Nygren is a Product Manager for Analytics at the Swiss Federal Railway Company (SBB) Analytics group. He has a PhD in computational neuroscience and a masters degree in theoretical particle physics. He previously worked on learning models in recurrent spiking networks, applied Machine Learning for transportation systems, in particular the use of deep Reinforcement Learning for vehicle re-scheduling problems. Today his main focus lies in the integration of state-of-the-art research results into industry relevant products and services.
