Paola Yela is the Information Management and Data Science Officer at the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in Geneva. She worked for the Emergency Social Safety Net (ESSN) program in Turkey, supporting Information Management processes for delivering cash to more than 1.7 million refugees, and with the Missing Migrants Project Team to help automatically identify news from the web related to deaths and disappearances of migrants. She holds a bachelor's degree in Management Engineering from the National University in Colombia and a master's in Digital Humanities from the EPFL in Switzerland.
