Lucas Dixon is Chief Scientist at Jigsaw. His work focuses on security, machine intelligence and data visualization. Public projects he helped build include uProxy/Outline, Project Shield, DigitalAttackMap, Syria Defection Tracker, and unfiltered.news. He currently leads the Conversation AI research effort which developed the Perspective API. Before Google/Jigsaw, Lucas was a research scientist at the University of Edinburgh and worked on the automation of mathematical thinking, graphical languages for quantum information, and technology to enable more rational and informed debate. He received his PhD in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh.
