Since May 2017, Marius Zumwald has been a doctoral student in the Weather and Climate Risk Group (Prof. Dr. David Bresch) and in the Climate Physics Group (Prof. Dr. Reto Knutti). He finished his Master of Science in Environmental Sciences at ETH in October 2016 by handing in the master thesis „Understanding the Effect of Deployment Policy Design on Renewable Energy Technology Diffusion” conducted in the Energy Politics Group (Prof. Dr. Tobias Schmidt). During his Bachelor in Environmental Sciences, Marius spent one semester at the NTNU Trondheim in Norway.

Previous to his studies at ETH, Marius has completed an apprenticeship as Chemistry Laboratory Technician with CSL Behring AG, and the pre college at the Jazz School at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences.
