Maxim Samarin is doctoral student in machine learning at the University of Basel. Prior to that he studied physics at ETH Zurich and ENS de Lyon with a focus on statistical and computational physics as well as statistical data analysis. In his research he attempts to leverage machine learning and deep learning methods to investigate soil erosion processes and bird migration.
