Soon Hoe Lim is a Wallenberg Initiative in Networks and Quantum (WINQ) Research Fellow and an incoming Assistant Professor at Nordic Institute of Theoretical Physics (Nordita), hosted jointly by KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Stockholm University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics at the University of Arizona. His current research interests lie at the interface of modern machine learning, dynamical systems and applied probability, with a specialisation on robust and reliable machine learning. While there is a focus on using foundational/theoretical questions to drive advances in the science and engineering of learning systems, the theory is strongly tied to implementational problems and a wide range of very practical applications.
