Thomas Schneider is the Ambassador and Director of International Affairs at the Swiss Federal Office of Communication (OFCOM) in the Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications (DETEC). He is an expert in Internet and digital governance and in the governance and is leading the Swiss delegation in various international fora (UN, ITU, OECD, ICANN/GAC, Council of Europe, UNESCO, etc.) since 2003. He is currently a vice chair of the OECD’s Committee on Digital Economy Policy, the vice-chair of the Council of Europe’s steering committee on media and information society and a member of the Bureau of its Ad Hoc Committee on Artificial Intelligence.
