Thomas leads a group of data & computational scientists and scientific computing experts at Scientific IT Services of ETH Zurich. His team collaborates with the ETH research community and partner institutions in providing expertise, support and mainly non-standard services in the areas of data science & machine learning, high performance computing, scientific software development and research data management. Thomas has more than 10 years of experience in a "gap bridging" role between research and IT. He has a Masters in Physics from ETH Zurich and a PhD from the University of Bern.
