Nour Ghalia Abassi obtained a BSc in Communication Systems at EPFL, then a MSc in Data Science. She is now a PhD candidate at EPFL in Machine learning and Intelligent systems and works mainly on sound recognition on repetitive signals. Her work aims to build a system capable to flag anomalies and distinguish between very similar sounds that evolve with time. She mainly focuses on finding the best representation of sound embeddings. She also takes an interest as a part of her research work in explainable and robust ML.
