Dr. Michael Tangermann received his PhD in 2007 and spent his PostDoc period at the ML Dept. of Klaus-Robert Müller and at the Neurotechnology Dept. of Benjamin Blankertz at Technical University of Berlin before starting the Brain State Decoding Laboratory at the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg, Germany in 2013. Embedded within the cluster of excellence BrainLinks-BrainTools, his junior research group investigates novel machine learning approaches for Neurotechnology, especially in the context of clinical applications of brain-computer interfaces.
Michael Tangermann gave a workshop on unsupervised classification in brain-computer interface systems at the AMLD2018.
