Michele Tizzoni is a Senior Research Scientist at the ISI Foundation in the area of Data Science for Social Impact and Sustainability. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the Politecnico of Turin.
He is conducting research about the use of digital traces and network science approaches to infectious disease epidemiology and public health. More recently, he has been working in the Data for Good domain, investigating how data mining and machine learning can support the work of non-profit organizations in the field of social innovation, philanthropy, international development, and humanitarian action.
