Nadia Marsan has been a member of NATO’s International Staff since 2006, joining the NATO Office of Legal Affairs in August 2017. Between 2010 and 2017, she worked in the Secretary General’s Private Office on reform issues and as advisor to the NATO Deputy Secretary General. She has also held positions in Public Diplomacy, Human Resources and Political Affairs.
Prior to joining NATO, Mrs. Marsan held various legal adviser positions, including in electoral complaints adjudication in Kosovo and in Afghanistan. Other legal positions include judicial clerk at the Federal Court of Canada and refugee status determination officer with the UNHCR.
Mrs. Marsan holds a BA in Philosophy from McGill University and an LLB/JD from the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law. Mrs. Marsan is fluent in English and French.
