Stefan is the Swiss Artificial Intelligence Lead within IBM’s consulting unit and a Master Inventor.

He holds a PhD in operations research and data mining from the University of Nottingham and a Master of Science with distinction in Mathematics from the ETH Zurich; he is the author of multiple publications including a recent publication in Nature Medicine.

Stefan won one of the largest competitions in the history of IBM with the idea of automating the writing of meeting minutes. He has been distinguishing himself as a thought leader by leading first-of-a-kind projects, working on more than a dozen cognitive patents, and winning further innovation challenges.
