Yury Petrov is a Principal Data Scientist in Personalized Health Care Imaging group at Genentech, San Francisco, where he investigates application of Computer Vision and Deep Learning models to processing and analysis of medical images. Previously, Yury has investigated new technologies, including those which modify and augment human perception as a research scientist with Oculus VR, Facebook, and Apple. Earlier, as a professor at Northeastern University in Boston, he taught courses in Perception, Statistics, and did research in visual perception and neuroscience using psychophysical methods, EEG, fMRI, and eye-tracking, including research projects for DARPA. Yury is an expert on viewing optics, visual and multisensory perception, visual neuroscience, biomedical imaging and data analysis.
