Snipfeed is GenZ’s internet frontdoor: a mobile-only content discovery platform (articles, videos, podcast, games) powered by Machine Learning. Our goal is to completely redefine how we consume content on our phones by leveraging state-of-the-art recommender systems and by giving content creators the ability to easily engage with their audience and monetize their content. The research done at Snipfeed mainly focuses on the scalability of recommender systems (distributed collaborative filtering/content-based algorithms) and how they can integrate the perishable/freshness aspect of content.
Snipfeed won the EPFL X-Grant competition in 2018, was accelerated at Berkeley’s Accelerator (Skydeck Berkeley) and is backed by top Silicon Valley investors (Zynga founders, Myspace founders, etc).
