Talk / Overview

During the past 5 years, the FUNDATION has collected millions of geo-tagged and timestamped health records of children under 5 years old, covering almost half of all healthcare centers in Burkina Faso. We present a showcase of state-of-the-art data with which machine learning can have an actual impact on people’s lives. We discuss how to capitalize on its great potential, and highlight all the challenges of working with real-world data from a developing country.
