eBay’s item images are submitted by sellers and vary in quality: many of them have non-white background, watermark, blurriness, multiple items on the same image, etc...Advertising partners are unable to curate inventory to match the specifics of their sites due to high volume. This leads to losing partnership opportunities or forcing partners working with limited inventory. By applying ML models we can classify, analyze, and enhance images in the current feed to better match these partner requirements.
