This study aims to systematically review the literature on the applicability of KGs on semantic enrichment of trajectories and knowledge extraction from built KGs in the context of mobility, place, and health, providing the basis for a structured approach towards future research. This survey will analyze systematically different approaches to constructing KGs from movement data using various mobility sensors (e.g., GPS, accelerometer) and ecological momentary assessment techniques (e.g., mobile phone-enabled momentary surveys) and review relevant techniques for 1) constructing trajectories from GPS data, 2) semantic enrichment of trajectories, and 3) semantic trajectory analysis and knowledge extraction.
