Advances in AI/ML are well presented by the researchers (see presentations in AMLD). Meanwhile, communication networks are racing towards and beyond 5G. AI/ML is a key dimension of future networks and network stakeholders would like to reap the benefits of Integration of AI/ML with IMT-2020 networks. With this in mind, a study was launched by ITU about integrating AI/ML with future networks including IMT-2020. It threw up some unique requirements and options to make future networks more intelligent. This presentation summarizes some of the findings and proposed solutions from that study. Opportunities in this area are highlighted for collaboration which may benefit both the AI/ML community as well as the network stakeholders.
