New technologies induce structural change also with regard to employment and the labor market. The Swiss experience shows that labor has coped successfully with these changes. Skills improved continuously, labor market participation remained high, unemployment stayed low and inequality with regard to wages and incomes hardly changed in the course of the past two decades.
