Large hospitals want more insights and control over their acute care department in order to prevent crowding in the emergency room as a result of an increasing patient flow. We will present how we improved cooperation between different departments and systems to reduce the length of stay of patients so that more patients can be treated with the same treatment capacity. This can be done through using Supply Chain analytics based on input and output variables and applying this to patient flows.
