Andrea is a Data Analyst at the International Organization for Migration's Missing Migrants Project. Her work centres around collecting and analysing data on migrant deaths and disappearances worldwide. Before joining IOM, Andrea worked at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) - focusing on mixed migration flows in the Horn of Africa - and several civil society organisations in Mexico. She has worked and studied in Mexico, Belgium, India, Kenya and Germany. Andrea holds a Master in Public Policy from the Hertie School of Governance and a B.A. in International Affairs from the Tecnológico de Monterrey.
