Bruno is an Associate Professor on Airline Operations and Aircraft Maintenance at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering from the Delft University of Technology.

Since 2019, he is also the chair of the Air Transport and Operations section and responsible for the KLM E&M Chair at his faculty.

With more than 15 years of research experience, Bruno has co-authored more than 50 refereed scientific works in international scientific journals and conferences. The research from Bruno has primarily been sponsored by European projects and companies in bilateral initiatives. He is the Scientific Coordinator of ReMAP, a 6.8 million Euro H2020 project on the topic of Condition-based Maintenance in aviation.

Bruno is also the vice-chair of the Aviation Application Section from INFORMS and part of the Advisory Board of the professional Airline Group of the International Federation of Operational Research Societies (AGIFORS).
