Gerold Schneider is a Senior Lecturer, researcher and computing scientist at the department of Computational Linguistics at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. His doctoral degree is on large-scale dependency parsing, his habilitation on using computational models for corpus linguistics. His research interests include corpus linguistics, statistical approaches, Digital Humanities, text mining and language modeling. He has published over 100 articles on these topics, a book on statistics for linguists, and a book on digital humanities is under way.
