Portrait image of Prateek Katiyar

Prateek received his PhD in machine learning and medical imaging at the Werner Siemens Imaging Center and Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, Tübingen, Germany. His doctoral and post-doctoral work focused on estimating spatio-temporal tissue heterogeneity within tumors using machine learning methods applied to multi-parametric PET/MRI datasets.

Prateek is highly interested in developing machine learning methods for translational medicine applications, potentially bridging the gap between preclinical and clinical studies. His machine learning research interests include (but are not limited to): representation learning, generative modeling and transfer learning.

At the Novartis AI Innovation Lab, Prateek's work focuses on developing novel machine learning methods for imaging and multi-modal datasets.
