Ramon Dalmau-Codina is an aerospace engineer specialised in optimisation and artificial intelligence. Dalmau holds a master in computational mathematics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and a PhD in aerospace science and technology from the Technical University of Catalonia. Dalmau has been a research fellow at the Dutch Space Agency and the NASA, and has published around 50 scientific papers in peer-reviewed indexed journals and conference proceedings. Since 2019, Dalmau is working as a data scientist for the manager of the European air transport network (EUROCONTROL), where he designs, develops and implements systems based on artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve the air traffic management. In 2017, he was awarded with the SESAR Young Scientist Award. He was also listed in the Forbes 30 under 30 (science and healthcare category) in 2021.
