The advanced cable analytics solution leverages feature-rich internal and external data to predict the health status of underground cables in the medium voltage electricity grid. Built on top of the data integration & aggregation layer, the core of the solution and focus of this talk is the AI model. The chosen survival analysis model calculates the remaining lifetime for individual cable sections based on past events in the grid. The model results enable the solution to calculate recommendations for best resource usage to obtain maximal asset reliability at optimal OPEX. Besides cables, the generic approach is also applicable to other comparable assets.
