Looking at things from a different angle can sometimes lead to new insights. At SBB, we use drones, helicopters and satellites to obtain aerial raster images of our railway infrastructure. In this talk I will present a few use cases where aerial raster data and analytical enrichment with deep learning approaches are used to optimise business processes. We will cover some of the technical characteristics of the neural networks involved and also some of the challenges of integrating the insights into an existing process.
