Building operations is responsible for 30% of greenhouse gas emissions worldwide. Any plan to mitigate climate change will need to see these emissions reduce as soon as possible but the cost intensity of common approaches to address this challenge can be prohibitive. In this talk, we will present an innovative use of Machine Learning supporting a pay-as-you-save business model. This allows energy efficiency interventions to be financed by a fraction of the actual cost savings that it generates.
