Talk / Overview

Natural Language Processing (NLP) has shown great potential towards identifying emotions as well as mental issues (stress, anxiety, depression, etc.) of people based on their written text.  In this talk/poster, we will present the main concept and our first steps towards deriving insights into the emotional well-being of cancer survivors, using social media and browser history data, in order to support patient monitoring during their after care. This research takes place in the context of the [REBECCA H2020 project](https://rebeccaproject.eu/) that aims to leverage a variety of Real-World Data (RWD) to support clinical research and to improve existing clinical workflows on breast cancer patient management and treatment. We will also discuss the associated issues and challenges.
