Predictions play a central role when solving various types of transport-related optimization problems. Yet the prediction and optimization problems are typically studied separately. In this talk we discuss problem settings arising in transportation where integrating the prediction and optimization problems is beneficial. We provide an overview of related challenges and examples from real use cases.
