Cheng Chen is a senior data scientist at Clinical Development Unit at Nestlé Research, Lausanne, Switzerland, where he develops machine-learning solutions for clinical research, mobile health and digital nutrition.

Dr. Chen holds a PhD in computer science and has more than 10 years’ experience in the field of machine learning and computer vision. Before moving to Nestlé Research, he was data scientist at Nestlé Vevey headquarters and Nestlé Product Development Center Konolfingen, where he developed data science solutions for digital manufacturing, consumer/sensory study and chemometric data analysis. Before joining Nestlé, he worked at Microsoft Visual Perception Lab, IDIAP Research Institute and University of Bern as research scientist.
