
Dan Assouline is currently a PhD candidate in EPFL (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne), at the Solar Energy and Building Physics Laboratory. He has received a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics from Lycée Saint Louis (Paris, France), a Master’s degree in Engineering from Ecole Spéciale Des Travaux Publics (Cachan, France) and a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UC Berkeley (California, USA). His research focuses on the spatio-temporal mapping of large scale renewable energy potential, with a focus on urban areas, using a combination of Geographic Information Systems and Machine Learning methods.
