David Hübner is a trained mathematician that currently pursues his PhD in the area of brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) at the University of Freiburg. His research contributions to the field of unsupervised machine learning methods for BCIs have been honored with two best talk awards and have been nominated for the BCI award 2017. In the last year's event (AMLD2018), David Hübner co-authored a workshop together with his PhD supervisor Michael Tangermann on unsupervised classification in brain-computer interface systems. At this year's AI & health session, he will present work on using BCIs for language rehabilitation after a brain stroke, again together with his PhD supervisor. This novel research direction has been awarded the second place of the BCI award 2018.
