This talk gives an overview about the AI-related research activities within ESA's Advanced Concepts Team. In particular, we present Satellite Image Super-resolution and Satellite Pose Estimation as examples on how machine learning techniques can be transformative for space. Moreover, the talk highlights how we leverage competitions to advance the state of the art within the field.
