By focusing on today's most powerful AIs like YouTube's recommender system, I will argue that making AIs robustly beneficial has become urgent. Unfortunately, this is also a huge technical challenge. I'll briefly sketch a roadmap to better identify numerous more tractable subproblems relevant to making AIs robustly beneficial.
