We’re inviting organizations, companies, technology practitioners & experts interested in chairing and proposing content for AMLD EPFL 2022 to submit an ‘open track’ proposal. Open tracks will take place during the AMLD EPFL main conference Saturday to Wednesday March 26-30, 2022, at EPFL, Switzerland. Multiple parallel tracks will run at the same time, allowing participants to choose and follow a session relevant to their interests.

By ‘open tracks’, we’re specifically looking for broader, more innovative and less conventional sessions. This could be anything you or your organization could have in mind – a project or product launch, a deep dive on a specific topic or technology, a showcase of in-house projects, an exhibition, a startup gathering with presentations, a meeting, a roundtable, a catered networking event, etc. – the sky is the limit.

The ‘open track’ could be focussed on specific applications of machine learning and artificial intelligence, but could also be much more open and showcase any interesting technology related to deep tech.

Unlike the more traditional conference tracks, open tracks can also be sponsored. In this case, you can brand the track with the name of your organization.

There are multiple possible track durations: 2 hours, 4 hours (half-day), 6 hours or 8 hours (full-day). Please reach out to us directly if you wish to organize a multi-day track.

Open track organizers have several responsibilities, including full development of the track content, preparing and organizing the track, providing and promoting the program as well as managing the sessions throughout their track. AMLD can help coordinate the local setup needs.

Open Track goals and requirements

1. Open tracks should propose to the AMLD EPFL 2022 audience interesting content and a great experience in areas related to the application of machine learning or any topic related to deep tech.
2. Open tracks should bring together people with common interests, help foster the exchange of ideas, and contribute to building a community around specific applications of technologies.
3. At AMLD, we encourage and expect quality and diversity in speakers, projects and participants. 
4. After track selection, the organizers of accepted open tracks will work with the AMLD organizing team to coordinate their track.
5. A final program and schedule is expected at the end of January.
6. February & March: advertising and promoting the open track within your network and beyond.

Open track submissions will be reviewed and rated by the AMLD EPFL 2022 academic committee. Submissions are expected to be detailed and based around impact, new ideas, interesting discussions and exciting projects. For more ‘traditional’ conference tracks (invited talks, speaker presentations, lectures, panel discussions), please consider proposing a ‘conference track’ at AMLD EPFL 2022.
