Talk / Overview

Condition-based maintenance is a maintenance strategy that considers the maintenance of assets and components only when these show signs of degrading performance or risk of failure. By performing replacements only close to the end-life of components and by constantly monitoring the health state of the components, condition-based maintenance has the potential to reduce waste and costs in operations. In this talk, we will discuss some of the work being developed at the TU Delft, together with some partners, promoting AI solutions to support the adoption of condition-based maintenance in practice. In particular, we will discuss the developments within the European project ReMAP (https://h2020-remap.eu/), including the experience gained in terms of data sharing, AI solutions for prognostics and health management and for maintenance scheduling. The experience from the ongoing 6-months demonstration exercise at KLM will be shared.
