Dr. Abdel Labbi is an IBM Distinguished Engineer and Head of Data & AI at IBM Research - Zurich. 
He is leading a global team of researchers and engineers building the next generation Hybrid Cloud Data Fabric for secure, efficient, and governed enterprise data for AI. Dr. Labbi has over 20 years experience in research, engineering, consulting, and teaching in large scale Data & AI Platforms and Digital Transformation. 
He holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Grenoble (FR) and an MBA from Henley Business School (UK). 
Dr. Labbi has worked with several Fortune 500 companies on bleeding edge AI projects, and has co-authored 80+ papers and 2 books in various areas of Data and AI theory and applications.
