Track / Overview

Artificial intelligence, machine learning, robots, globalization, global warming, gig economy… The world of work is being disrupted.

Considering that a significant part of the current workforce has been educated before the turn of the century, when most technologies, ubiquitous today, did not exist, it is clear that only few workers are prepared to surf the wave of technological change. And yet, too often, companies – driven by competition and innovation -  initiate digital transformation plans or launch AI-driven projects without sufficient consideration on the impact that such business shift might have the future organization’s skills’ needs. As a result, employers struggle to find the talents they need and the skills gap is increasing.

In this track, we will address the growing skills gap, the re-and up-skilling needs, and we will discuss the new forms of work and new ways to identify the skills that we need to develop today to thrive tomorrow.
