Ugo Gentile is a data scientist at Nestlé Research in the department of Digital Food Safety. He got his PhD in Computer and Automation engineering in Italy and he held a Senior Postdoctoral position at CERN. His main research topics include the integration of AI and data science in complex industrial settings and the application of model-driven principles to support the life cycle of ICT systems and infrastructures. He has authored several publications in international peer-reviewed journals, and he served as a referee and editor for international journals, conferences and workshops. He has been actively involved in several European projects on the topics.
