The energy system is undergoing a fundamental change at the moment, from few centralized and mostly separated subsystems to a web of many decentralized prosumers coupling all sorts of technologies. The decisions shaping this change are taken at many different places and times. This calls for new strategies for all players that want to take part in building and shaping the new energy system. In this talk, I present use cases how machine learning assists the customers of our platform Swiss Energy Planning to see the big picture and to be at the right time at the right place.
