This workshop will help participants realize what computer vision is, as well as its mission of making computers perceive and understand the world, by learning essential notions of the field and getting an introduction to human vision abilities. They are prepared to identify the major key application of computer vision and understand the digital imaging process using Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning techniques.
This workshop will cover:
- Design of the Computer Vision System for Multimedia Object Analysis and Classification
- Machine Learning for Computer Vision applications (Similarity-based, Probabilities based, Support Vector Machines, Neural Network)
- Practical Session on Machine Learning
- Deep Learning for Computer Vision applications (Convolution Neural Network (CNN), Autoencoder (AE) and Long Short Term Memory (LSTM))
- Practical Session on Medical Image Classification: Case of CT images classification for COVID-19 Discovery
By the end of the workshop, participants will receive the following materials:
- Support for the oral presentation
- Notebook of Machine Learning and a COVID-19 digital database
- Deep Learning Notebook and CT Image Database for COVID-19 Discovery
- Evaluation Quiz
