Track / Overview

New technologies such as online interview platforms and algorithms that analyze applicant behavior automatically, are used increasingly for recruitment and selection of new employees. In this track, we will present some of the ongoing research in this domain as well as what and how machine learning is used in practice in HR departments. We will demonstrate how soft skills and storytelling can be extracted from videotaped job interviews and how they relate to employee performance, how different interview platforms affect the behavior of the applicants, and how job-seekers can be assisted with new technological developments. We will talk about the advantages and pitfalls when developing and using such new technologies for selection and for employee training and development.
